Job summary

Southern Nevada Health District is seeking Public Health Informatics Scientist to apply informatics principles to design, use, and manage information systems for public health and epidemiologic reporting. The role supports data analytics and interoperability to improve population health within the SNHD Informatics Department.

Two vacancies will be filled from an eligibility list for up to four months. Applicants must hold a related bachelor's degree and have 2 years of health informatics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 2 years of professional health informatics/analysis experience or equivalent
• Alternative combinations of related education, training, and experience may be accepted

Responsibilities

• Apply informatics principles to ensure effective design, use, and management of information systems for public health
• Support epidemiologic reporting and data interoperability to improve population health
• Contribute to data analytics activities within SNHD's Informatics Department
