Job summary

Orange County Health Care Agency, based in Santa Ana, seeks a Health Information Specialist to support the Office of Communications. Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in communications, writing and editing (newsletter, intranet articles, reports, and press).
• Experience in social media management (content and design).
• Public relations and project coordination experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage HCA’s social media accounts: create, post and schedule daily content across services.
• Lead development of the monthly internal newsletter: coordinate submissions, write articles, and capture photos of events.
• Manage a high volume of project requests through the HCA Communications inbox and coordinate with staff and internal teams; proof all public-facing materials.
• Support PIO activities with press clippings and content for news features, press releases and media content.
• Coordinate the Employee Recognition program (years of service, SOAR awards), ensuring pins, photos, and plaques are available.
