AMDEX Corporation is seeking a Public Health Business Analyst to translate public health needs into clear business and technical requirements. You will bridge public health stakeholders and delivery teams, contributing analysis, documentation, and validation to deliver data-driven solutions that meet governance and interoperability standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • At least 2 years experience as a Business Analyst on technical-centric projects.
  • Fluent in public health surveillance and epidemiology workflows.
  • Ability to analyze and document end-to-end workflows, system integrations, and data flows for surveillance and reporting use cases.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to nontechnical public.
  • Collaborative mindset for working across technical delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving and critical thinking.

  • Support consideration of data quality, timeliness, reporting requirements, and reuse across public health use cases.
  • Communicate complex technical topics in clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.

Public Health Business Analyst

Role Summary

The Public Health Business Analyst supports public health data and interoperability initiatives by translating client needs and workflows into clear business and technical requirements. This role acts as a connector between public health stakeholders and delivery implementation teams, contributing analysis, documentation, and validation activities to enable solutions that align with public health standards, data governance expectations, and operational realities.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 2 years previous experience serving as a Business Analyst in technical-centric projects.
  • Fluent in public health surveillance, epidemiology workflows, and STLT public health operations.
  • Ability to analyze and document end-to-end workflows, system integrations, and data flows supporting surveillance and reporting use cases.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to nontechnical public.
  • Collaborative mindset for working across technical delivery teams and public health stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Core Competencies

  • Working knowledge of public health data exchange and interoperability across PHAs, laboratories, registries, healthcare partners, and federal systems.
  • Working knowledge of public health standards and artifacts (e.g., HL7 v2, CDA, FHIR).
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI and agentic research versus other methods of automation.
