Job summary

The Town of Castle Rock is seeking a dedicated Fitness Instructor for the Recreation Center to design personalized programs and lead safe group and individual sessions. You will assess participants, motivate them, and ensure proper use of equipment.

Responsibilities include program development, safety education, orientation for new patrons, and participation in staff meetings to stay current with fitness trends and offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to instruct individuals and groups in safe, effective fitness techniques.
• Ability to engage with participants and answer questions about exercises and equipment.
• CPR and First Aid certification and renewal as required.

Responsibilities

• Develops personalized fitness programs for participants based on goals and fitness levels.
• Conducts fitness assessments to gauge progress.
• Educates, motivates and guides participants in safe training practices.
• Monitors patrons using equipment and ensures safe technique; provides instruction when needed.
• Conducts orientation to patrons on proper use of fitness equipment.
• Attends staff meetings to stay current with offerings and trends.
• Responds to customer questions and concerns regarding classes and services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
