Qualifications

• Three years of relevant research or analytical experience in U.S. public finance.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors to prepare Fitch’s Local Government Rating Model for new and existing ratings.
• Review annual financial reports, budgets, capital plans and other public disclosures.
• Identify rating-relevant issues for review by the analytical team and rating committee.
• Meet with issuers and their fiscal agents during management meetings.
• Present rating recommendations and serve as voting member on rating committees.
• Support publication of rating action commentaries, research reports and Fitch Wires.
