Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant research or analytical experience in U.S. public finance.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to shift between multiple projects as priorities change.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors to prepare Fitch’s Local Government Rating Model for new ratings.
• Review annual financial reports, budgets, and public disclosures.
• Identify rating-relevant issues for review by analytical teams and rating committees.
• Meet with issuers and fiscal agents during management meetings.
• Present rating recommendations and serve as voting member on rating committees.
• Support publication of rating action commentary and research.
• Attend industry events and interact with investors and market participants.
