Responsibilities span advising government entities, supporting bond issuances, and handling complex financings and public-private partnerships.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of law firm experience required.
• Strong transactional experience and interest in public finance.
• Experience with public finance transactions, UCC and securities law preferred but not required.
• Highly motivated with client-service mindset and collaboration.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

A leading law firm is seeking a Public Finance Associate to join its Public Finance practice in San Francisco. This opportunity is ideal for an associate with 2-4 years of law firm experience, a strong transactional background and an interest in municipal finance, public infrastructure and sophisticated financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise state and local governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, investment banks, developers, and other clients on public finance transactions.
• Support municipal bond issuances, notes, and other taxable and tax-exempt financing arrangements.
• Work on financings involving public infrastructure, capital improvements, healthcare, education, affordable housing, energy and other development projects.
• Assist with matters involving public-private partnerships, securitizations, secondary market transactions, and financing restructurings.
• Contribute to matters involving tax-exempt financing, IRS audits, SEC investigations, enforcement proceedings and bankruptcy-related issues.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant law firm experience.
• Strong transactional experience and an interest in public finance law.
• Experience with public finance transactions, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and securities law is preferred but not required.
• Highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service and working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California

Compensation

$235,000-$310,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
