Job summary

The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts is seeking a part-time Security Officer to protect assets, staff, patrons, and guests under the supervision of a Security Supervisor or Manager. You will engage with the public and support experiences through high-level customer service.

Key responsibilities include enforcing access control, monitoring entrances, detaining suspected individuals, patrolling, and responding to incidents with timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Completion of Security Department Training Program required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to provide quality customer service consistently.
• Proactive in enforcing access control and patrol procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enforce access control and badge procedures.
• Monitor entrances and protect property from theft and hazards.
• Detain visitors suspected of illegal activity and inform authorities.
• Provide assistance to patrons, employees, and visitors.
• Proactively patrol the property and deter crime.
• Maintain a visible security presence and address misconduct.
• Interact with patrons to enhance their experience.
• Respond to incidents and write reports.
• May train new security staff or perform duties of a supervisor when qualified.
• May monitor CCTV and other security systems as assigned.
