Job summary

The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts Philly seeks a FT Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA to protect assets, staff, and visitors under supervision. You will enforce access control, patrol areas, assist patrons, handle incidents, and support safety across venues.

Qualifications

• Sound working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures in a business environment.
• Ability to make independent and sound judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prior security/law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English for public interaction and report writing.
• Successful completion of the Security Department Training Program.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory full-time attendance and punctuality standard.
• Neat and professional appearance in approved attire.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to provide quality customer service consistently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to handle typical, emergency, and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Enforce access control/badge procedures and monitor entrances.
• Provide a highly visible security presence to deter crime and assist patrons.
• Detain visitors involved in illegal activity and inform authorities.
• Respond to incidents, investigate, and write reports per policy.
• May train new staff or perform duties of Security Supervisor if qualified.
• May monitor CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm systems as assigned.
• Assist with Worker’s Compensation reporting and first aid as needed.
• Maintain attendance and adapt to irregular schedules including weekends and overtime.
