The City of Boise is seeking an Animal Compliance Officer II to promote responsible pet ownership and support the safe, respectful use of Boise’s parks, trails, foothills reserves and Greenbelt.

This public-facing role patrols by vehicle, bicycle, and on foot, collaborating with Boise Police and Parks staff to address animal-related concerns in public spaces. Candidates must communicate calmly in difficult situations and maintain thorough documentation.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in customer service in a compliance role.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Mansioni

• Patrols in city parks, trail systems, and surrounding areas to enforce animal laws.
• Educates the public on responsible animal ownership and applicable ordinances.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of interactions, warnings, and citations.
• Responds to concerns with calm, professional communication and seeks voluntary compliance.
• Works with Boise Police and Boise Parks and Recreation staff as needed.
