Job summary

The City of Burlington is seeking a Communications, Volunteer & Operations Specialist to serve as a key ambassador for the CCCJC. You will recruit and engage volunteers, manage communications, and provide front-office support to ensure a welcoming, organized environment for participants and partners.

You will coordinate outreach, monitor platforms, and assist with community events under CCCJC leadership, while upholding equity and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in communications, public administration, human services, marketing, or a related field. Two+ years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, community programs, public-facing services, or events preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing support.
• Greet visitors, respond to inquiries, and connect participants with staff and resources.
• Maintain communications and outreach materials, newsletters, and social media content.
