Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• One (1) year of experience in labor or maintenance.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in the workplace.
• Knowledge of repairs in different trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Uses maintenance equipment to perform duties in public areas and landscapes.
• Cleans, repairs, and replaces equipment at City facilities.
• Prepares City facilities for events.
• Participates in maintenance and repair of City buildings and facilities.
• Inspects equipment and reports needs for maintenance or repair.
• Operates tractor mower and other small equipment.
• Loads sand, gravel, or waste up to 50 lbs.
• Performs related duties as required.
