Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an Associate Attorney (Public Entity/Personal Injury Defense) in Riverside, CA to join our civil defense team. You will represent clients in all phases of litigation, conduct research, draft pleadings, and develop defense strategies with senior attorneys.

The ideal candidate has a JD, CA Bar license, 2+ years of civil litigation or defense experience, and strong negotiation and advocacy skills. This role offers hybrid work options and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 2+ years in civil litigation, insurance defense, or public entity defense.
• Active CA Bar License.
• Strong negotiation, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Proficiency with legal research software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil defense litigation across cases.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Handle depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Develop defense strategies, negotiate settlements, and appear in court.
• Collaborate with team to coordinate the defense.
• Maintain client communications with updates and advice.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
