Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Associate Attorney in Sausalito, CA, to join a Public Entity Labor and Employment Practice Group. The successful candidate will work with public entity clients across California, gaining immediate client-facing experience and handling high-profile matters.

The role requires 1–6 years of labor and employment law or related litigation experience, strong research and writing abilities, and excellent client communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of labor and employment law or litigation experience; public-sector focus preferred.
• Excellent research and writing ability.
• Strong client communication skills and confidence in handling client matters independently.

Responsibilities

• Support litigation in trial and appellate courts, including discovery and depositions.
• Advise public employers on employment law issues such as ADA/FEHA accommodations and FMLA/CFRA compliance.
• Assist with workplace investigations and draft reports.
• Participate in administrative hearings before arbitrators and PERB.
• Support labor relations work, including responding to union requests and preparing discipline notices.
• Draft contracts, separation agreements, and client advisories.
• Research and draft legal opinions for public agency clients.
