Horrocks is seeking a Public Engagement Coordinator in Pleasant Grove, UT to join the Transportation team. The role supports strategic outreach, develops public information materials, and coordinates events to engage the community.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach. A bachelor’s degree in communications or related field is a plus; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional experience in a similar industry.
• Must possess the ability to work and collaborate with team members, clients, and the public.
• Writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self-starter.
• MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience in public/media relations and/or community engagement strategies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, etc. is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of strategic outreach plans in local and outside markets.
• Produce content and distribute public information materials, including flyers, door hangers, websites, newsletters, mass and social, presentations, exhibit boards, maps, etc.
• Work with in-house graphic design team to create print and digital collateral.
• Assist with special events including public meetings and hearings, open houses, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and project tours.
• Maintain project delivery documentation.
• Monitor public email and hotline accounts while responding to inquiries as needed.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
