Job summary

National Education Association invites students to join the NEA Internship Program within the Education Policy & Implementation Center (EPIC) for Fall 2026. The internship spans six weeks to a full semester, based at NEA Headquarters in Washington, DC, with a $20/hour stipend and a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Interns will engage in research, data analysis, policy writing, meetings on Capitol Hill, and policy forums.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing degrees in Education, Political Science, Government, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Communications, Computer Science, Journalism, Mass Media, Graphic Design, Digital Communications are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support policy goals through research, policy analysis and development, resource creation, and advocacy for federal education policy and funding priorities.
• Assist with briefing materials and other policy products.
• Contribute to research on local and national disability rights policy and advocacy initiatives.
