The King County Rule-9 Intern Team seeks second-year law students in good academic standing at ABA-approved law schools for a hybrid internship located in Seattle or Kent. Interns will assist attorneys, participate in hearings, and help with trial preparation while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

Applicants should have completed two years of law school, be eligible as a Rule 9 Licensed Legal Intern, and show a demonstrated interest in representing indigent clients.

Formación

• Two years of law school completed and in good academic standing.
• Eligible to qualify as Rule 9 Licensed Legal Intern under WSBA rules.
• Demonstrated interest in representing indigent persons; strong ethical character.

Responsabilidades

• Assist attorneys and appear on the record at arraignment, pretrial, motion, sentencing, and probation hearings.
• Assist with trial preparation; seek opportunities to gain trial experience.
• Communicate with clients, social workers, service providers, and others involved in the case.
• Perform other duties as requested.
