Job summary

J2T Recruiting is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to support SEC filings, monthly closes, and complex accounting events in a growth-focused, public-company environment. This hands-on role blends daily accounting with high-level reporting ownership, offering opportunities to influence processes and controls.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant SEC experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong Excel/ERP skills, plus CPA in progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–2 years public accounting with SEC exposure, or 2–3 years SEC reporting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ability to research complex accounting issues.
• Proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SEC filings (Form 10-Q/10-K) and related disclosures.
• Support ledger activities, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Research evolving US GAAP guidance and document complex transactions/M&A impacts.
• Maintain internal control reporting procedures and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal/external auditors during reviews and audits.
