Job summary

Nebius seeks a highly technical Financial Controller to lead SPV financial reporting in a public-company setting. You will analyze complex accounting matters, ensure high-quality reporting under US GAAP, and coordinate with auditors across SPV and parent-level statements.

The role supports consolidation, policy development, and SEC disclosures, working closely with Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Operations. This is a fast-paced environment at the intersection of AI infrastructure and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in Big 4 or national public accounting with public company exposure.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and complex transactions including M&A and financing arrangements.
• Strong SEC reporting experience and disclosures.
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools such as Workiva or Active Disclosure.
• Able to prepare technical accounting memos and position papers with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for SPVs, with GAAP compliance.
• Consolidate SPV results into company reporting and coordinate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Legal.
• Maintain accounting policies, controls, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation for SPVs.
• Coordinate with external auditors on annual SPV audits and respond to audit requests.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and positions to support conclusions.
• Assist with SEC filings (20-F, 6-K) including footnotes and disclosures.
• Utilize Workiva/Active Disclosure to manage SEC filings and reporting workflows.
• Partner with Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Operations to assess accounting implications of contracts and strategic initiatives.
• Support SOX compliance and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and scalability.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects related to capital markets, M&A, and global expansion.
