Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking a Communications Specialist (State Based Exchange) to develop and coordinate internal and external communication strategies that support GAFB goals and enhance public image. You will craft press materials, manage content for websites and social media, and help implement program communications.

Under supervision, you’ll collaborate with agency staff to ensure consistent messaging and effective outreach across campaigns, events, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and four (4) years of communications or job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, newsletters, and other communication materials.
• Provide website and social media content to ensure messaging is current and aligned with branding.
• Assist in creating and implementing communication plans for programs, initiatives, and events.
• Draft, edit, and proofread content for print and digital platforms.
