A leading transportation authority in Los Angeles is seeking a Public Relations professional to manage media relations, coordinate events, and promote services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in communications. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including press release dissemination and social media management.
This position requires working irregular hours, split shifts, weekends, holidays, as well as working after designated regular hours for special assignments or emergencies.
Performs journey-level professional work in support of the agency's public activities, events, projects, and/or programs, such as planning and coordinating media content for Public Relations, Rail Operations, and the intranet site, assisting with special events and tour planning, or organizing employee appreciation activities.
