Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking a Communications Specialist to develop and coordinate content for dissemination across public relations, branding, media relations, digital media, and social channels. You will work under the Director of the City Administrator to ensure transparency, timely information, and engaging communication with residents, officials, and staff.

Responsibilities include creating marketing materials, maintaining the city website, editing content, and preparing presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
• 5–7 years of work experience in Public Relations or corporate communications.
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate content for broad audiences via PR, branding, media relations, digital media, and social channels.
• Liaise with elected officials, city staff, and customers to ensure transparency and engagement.
• Create marketing materials, maintain city website and content editor for City social media.
• Develop presentations, speeches, and press releases as directed.
• Provide training on CMS and public communications policies.
