Job summary

The County of Santa Clara seeks a Project Manager to oversee design, construction and modification of County buildings and facilities. You will manage scope, budget, and schedule for small to moderate projects and coordinate with consultants, contractors and county staff to ensure regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management or related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• Experience in small to moderate design/construction projects and CEQA/ADA considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develops project scope, budget, funding and schedule.
• Manages consultant and contractor selection and contract negotiations.
• Communicates among County, consultants and agencies; ensures designs meet needs and master plans.
• Keeps projects within approved budgets and schedule; reviews payments and claims.
• Prepares project reports and presents findings; coordinates design reviews for compliance and cost efficiency.
• Inspects construction progress and approves completion.
