Job summary

County of Santa Clara seeks a project manager to oversee design, construction and modification of county buildings and facilities. You will coordinate with consultants, manage scope and budget, and ensure compliance with codes and master plans.

The role requires experience in architecture/engineering project delivery and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Two years of recent experience in architecture, engineering project design and construction or construction management.
• California driver's license and ability to obtain County driver's authorization.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations and CEQA/ADA requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops project scope, budget, funding, and schedule.
• Manages consultant and contractor selection, fee negotiations, and contract approvals.
• Communicates among the County, consultants, and other agencies.
• Ensures designs meet program needs and align with master plans.
• Monitors budgets and schedules, analyzes claims, and approves payments.
• Prepares project reports and presents to stakeholders.
• Provides guidance on project criteria, regulations, and codes.
• Identifies and manages CEQA, ADA, energy conservation requirements.
