Job summary

Caltrans District 8 is seeking a Custodian I for the Los Angeles County area. Under supervision, you will clean assigned buildings and areas, applying sustainable practices and adhering to DGS policies.

Role is full-time with a standard 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. shift, Monday to Friday, in-office telework, with potential travel. Salary ranges from $3,326 to $4,163 per month, with new-to-state hiring at the minimum of the range.

Qualifications

• Custodian I is the minimum requirement for this class.
• No specific software or tools are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of assigned building, office and/or common areas.
• Apply sustainable work practices in operation and maintenance of building systems.
• Follow DGS and FMD policies and guidelines.
