Job summary

The City of Santa Paula is seeking an Administrative Analyst I for the Police Department. The role involves performing administrative and analytical functions including budgeting, contracts and grants administration, and supporting department operations.

Under the Chief of Police or designee, you will compile data, analyze financial and organizational processes, prepare reports, and coordinate with city staff and external partners.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience as described; Associate's Degree required.
• At least one year of professional administrative, analytical and/or budgetary experience in local government.
• Additional two years of professional-level administrative, analytical and/or budgetary experience with a minimum of one year in a public works department may substitute for an Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and analytical assignments for budgeting, contracts, and grants.
• Develop and monitor department budgets; compile financial data and reports.
• Prepare reports and maintain accounting records; assist with procurement and bid processes.
• Interact with City officials, consultants, and the public.
