Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services in Redmond, Oregon is seeking a Customer Service Guide (Public Benefit Specialist, Entry) to provide front desk support, greet clients, answer calls and guide them to the right services.

This permanent, full-time role requires strong customer service, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to use multiple systems like ONE and TRACS. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of reception or call center experience with high-volume workload.
• Associate degree as stated or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk assistance, answer calls and guide clients to services.
• Distribute mail, manage appointments and issue EBT cards/checks.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Document interactions in ONE and TRACS systems.
• Create a welcoming environment for the public.
