Job summary

City of Charleston is seeking a Public Art Coordinator for the Office of Public Art. The role involves planning, reviewing and managing public art projects within the city, under the Director Of Public Art.

The coordinator will implement projects and policies, develop inventory and maintenance plans, manage the art database and seek fundraising opportunities. A WV driver's license is required and related degree/experience are necessary.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Arts Administration or related field.
• Requires four years of demonstrated experience.
• Must possess and maintain valid State of West Virginia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills the department's mission to educate.create.conserve Public Art in Charleston.
• Implements projects and procedures for the installation, maintenance, operation and identification of public art in Charleston.
• Develops and implements inventory plans and maintenance programs for the City of Charleston's Office of Public Art.
• Manages the public art database and condition studies.
• Identifies fundraising opportunities and grant opportunities.

Education
