Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey on Cannery Row in Monterey, CA is seeking a dependable House Person / Lobby Attendant for a full-time, non-exempt role. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour.

You will support housekeeping by maintaining public areas, assisting with linen distribution, and delivering guest amenities with a friendly, professional approach. The position emphasizes teamwork, guest service, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and back-of-house areas
• Assist Room Attendants with linen distribution, supply restocking, and special projects
• Deliver guest requests and amenities promptly and professionally
• Deep clean carpets, rugs, furniture, and other assigned areas as needed
• Move and arrange furniture for hotel operations and events
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas and linen closets remain organized and fully stocked
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and lost & found procedures
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and fellow team members
