Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey on Cannery Row in Monterey, California, is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeping House Person / Lobby Attendant to maintain clean, welcoming guest and public areas and support the housekeeping team.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour for a non-exempt role. Duties include linen distribution, guest requests, and assisting with daily operations while upholding service standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and back-of-house areas
• Assist Room Attendants with linen distribution, supply restocking, and special projects
• Deliver guest requests and amenities promptly and professionally
• Deep clean carpets, rugs, furniture, and other assigned areas as needed
• Move and arrange furniture for hotel operations and events
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas and linen closets remain organized and fully stocked
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and lost & found procedures
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and fellow team members

Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

Join our Housekeeping team at the beautiful InterContinental The Clement Monterey, located on historic Cannery Row. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Housekeeping House Person / Lobby Attendant who takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming, and memorable experience for our guests.

As a House Person, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest and public areas throughout the hotel while supporting the housekeeping team with daily operations and guest requests.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and back-of-house areas

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull carts and equipment
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment
