Job summary

Langham Chicago hotel seeks a housekeeping attendant to ensure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells and public areas, assisting room attendants as needed.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning rooms and public areas, responding to guest questions, and maintaining hotel standards; physical ability required. Flexibility with varying schedules; prior luxury hotel experience preferred; training and uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of stain removal and chemical cleaning agents.
• Ability to learn how to properly work with hazardous chemicals in accordance with company standards.
• Ability to read and write basic English to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to organize and prioritized work and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are kept free of soiled linen and trash; stock closets with supplies and linen as directed.
• Pick up and sanitize glasses according to hotel policy.
• Keep butler pantries and housekeeping storage areas clean and neat.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells and foyers as needed.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls; polish and clean mirrors and door numbers.
