Job summary

The Abbey Resort in Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, WI is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our resort's public spaces. You will provide friendly, attentive service, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they enter our doors.

This role offers flexible hourly shifts and opportunities to contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred, with a strong focus on detail and teamwork to uphold our high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, custodial, or hospitality is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public spaces, restrooms, and guest areas.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and assist guests as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections for cleanliness, safety and guest satisfaction.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

What You'll Do

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout public spaces, restrooms, and guest-facing areas.
• Create a welcoming environment by providing friendly, attentive service and assisting guests as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Identify and report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and replenish housekeeping and cleaning supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, and resort standards while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience.

What You Bring

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and safe handling procedures is preferred.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business demands require
