Element Asheville Downtown is currently hiring for our Housekeeping and are seeking a Public Area Attendant. The Role:

As a Public Area Attendant you will be responsible for ensuring that the interior of our hotel looks its very best at all times. You will help promote the positive image of the property and ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• A genuine and friendly approach to guestinteractions.
• Able to collaborate with teammates and with otherdepartments
• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping preferred but notrequired
• Able to interact with guests in a friendlymanner.
• While English fluency may not be required for this role, the Public Area Attendant should havesufficient communication skills to be able to direct the guest to someone who can better assistthem
• Friendly demeanor – a smile when passing a guest is a great communicationskill
• Consistent awareness of physical environment and attention to safety &security
• Attention to all details in each public area; impeccable cleanliness ineach and everydetail
• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently &thoroughly
• Able to meet the physical requirements of theposition;
• Pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, working quickly and constantly on yourfeet.
• Basic understanding of cleaning tools, equipment andchemicals
• Understanding of safety protocols and able to report safetyhazards
