The Role

As a Room Attendant / Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest’s first impression of their room is a spotless and welcoming home-away-from-home, and that every detail of their room is in perfect order. You will clean each room to hotel standards — vacuuming, dusting, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and making the beds. This position requires lifting, bending, carrying, and being on your feet, so if you\'re looking for a job where you can be active, this is it.

Qualifications

• A genuine and friendly approach to guest interactions.
• Able to collaborate with teammates and with other departments
• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping preferred but not required
• Able to interact with guests in a friendly manner.
• While English fluency may not be required for this role, the Room Attendant should have sufficient communication skills to direct the guest to someone who can better assist them
• Friendly demeanor – a smile when passing a guest is a great communication skill
• Consistent awareness of physical environment and attention to safety & security
• Attention to all details in each room; impeccable cleanliness in each and every detail
• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently & thoroughly
• Able to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that rooms are done within prescribed time limits and done to standard
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, working quickly and constantly on your feet
• Basic understanding of cleaning tools, equipment and chemicals
• Understanding of safety protocols and able to report safety hazards
