Valor Hospitality is seeking a Public Area Attendant for The 106 Jefferson Hotel in Huntsville, AL. The role involves maintaining lobby and public spaces to standard cleanliness, responding to guest needs, and working across AM/PM shifts.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, and ensuring safe, presentable public areas while upholding courteous service to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No formal experience required for the position.
• Physical stamina: standing, lifting, pushing, and moving supplies.

Responsibilities

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames.
• Vacuum upholstery, drapery, and carpeting.
• Clean /maintain hallways and surrounding areas, public elevators (inside and outside), elevator landings and vending area.
• Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces.
• Empty all smoking materials from ash urns; remove trash to dumpster.
• Clean offices as assigned.
• Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies.
• Stock housekeeping cart with all necessary supplies.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
• Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found.
• Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times to protect hotel property.
• Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
