Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Public Area Attendant for Hilton Garden Inn/ Homewood Suites Downtown Toledo. The role maintains lobby and public spaces to reflect a welcoming hotel environment and addresses guest requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, corridors, and public areas, assisting with restaurants and banquet spaces, and adhering to cleaning schedules and safety guidelines. Excellent teamwork and reliability are essential.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the workplace language

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Clean and maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweep and vacuum carpets.
• Remove trash and empty ashtrays and urns.
• Dust and polish metal work, furniture, fixtures, and elevators.
• Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
• Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Responsible for upkeep of all equipment used (e.g., vacuum cleaner, trolleys, scrubbing machine).
• Maintain a time schedule for cleaning of their areas.
• Perform spring cleaning of their area as per schedule.
• Authorized to enter offices for maintenance or pest control or related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

The impact you’ll make…

The Public Area Attendant will keep all public areas and facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and should alsoable to address guest requests and problems.

What you’ll be doing…
