Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Public Area Attendant to uphold cleanliness across the Kimpton Santo public spaces. You will work as part of a hotel team to ensure a welcoming, polished guest experience.

The role emphasizes initiative, problem-solving, and reliable performance in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Training and certification sign-off are required, with physical workload including lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; training sign-off required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or public areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in hotel public spaces (lobbies, restrooms, hallways).
• Restock linen closets and supplies as needed.
• Strip beds of linen and empties trash where applicable.
• Vacuum/mop hallways and stairwells; clean lobby and reception areas.
• Clean and organize pool, gym, and other public facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Public Area Attendant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment in all hotel public spaces, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and polished experience.

What You'll Do

• Assist the team in providing the highest quality of service and cleanliness in the public areas of the hotel.
• Restock linen closets and storage rooms with linens and supplies.
• Strip guest rooms of linen and trash when necessary.
• Vacuum and/or mop hallways and stairwells.
• Maintain the lobby by cleaning the registration desk, vacuuming, and removing fingerprints from glass doors.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and replenish supplies as needed.
• Maintain the pool area by replenishing supplies, removing trash, cleaning tables and glass doors, checking spa water, and testing bromine levels.
• Clean and organize the exercise room by wiping equipment, mirrors, and glass doors, removing trash, and vacuuming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• A desire to take initiative and be self-motivated in an entry-level role.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Completion of training and certification sign-off.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
