Job summary

The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton, managed by Zachry Hotels, is seeking a Public Area Attendant in our luxury hotel. You will maintain guest-facing spaces to the highest standards, ensuring sparkle and presentation across lobbies, corridors, and amenities.

Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, lounges, and service corridors.
• Dust, polish, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces according to hotel standards.
• Replenish public area amenities, supplies, and decorative elements as needed.
• Safety, Standards & Guest Interaction: Monitor public spaces for maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns and report promptly.
• Respond courteously and professionally to guest inquiries and requests encountered during duties.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and standard operating procedures consistently.
• Operational Support: Support other departments during events, VIP arrivals, and peak operating periods as required.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment, carts, and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained.

Position Overview

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining all guest-facing areas of the hotel to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. This role is essential in creating a lasting first impression and supporting the hotel’s commitment to luxury service excellence.

What You’ll Do

Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, lounges, and service corridors.

What You’ll Bring

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in housekeeping or public area maintenance in a luxury or five-star hotel preferred.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication skills; basic English preferred (additional languages preferred).
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
