Job description

Job Summary: To provide and maintain clean and comfortable public areas to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. Also provide friendly and courteous service to each and every guest you come in contact with.


Responsibilities:

  1. Pick-up reports and keys to assigned areas daily. All keys must be signed out at the start of your shift and signed in at the end of your shift in the key control log.
  2. Proceed to the laundry area to pick-up your cart and necessary supplies.
  3. Always be careful not to make excessive noise in the guest room areas. You never know when you may disturb a guest, and this applies at any time during the day or night while you are on the floor.
  4. All public areas of the hotel are to be cleaned.
  5. All tile floors are to be mopped, using wet floor signs for guest safety.
  6. Public restrooms are to be cleaned and mopped.
  7. Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management.
  8. Be flexible in regard to work schedule.
  9. Report to work on time and in proper and clean uniform, including name tag.
  10. Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations. Be up-to-date with all changes, new procedures and events.
  11. Be aware of current guest service scores, and be able to understand guest comments and needs. Be an active participant in achieving the GSS goals of the hotel.
  12. Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards.
  13. Have knowledge about all emergency procedures and know how to act on them.
  14. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
  15. Assist fellow associates in their jobs when able to improve daily operations of the hotel.
  16. Perform all other duties as assigned.
  17. Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and pass as approved driver (if applicable).

  • Must be able to work with industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals.

NOTICE: The hotel business operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Due to this, it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shifts to conform to the demands of the hotel and our guests. In addition, this is the hospitality business and a hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
