Job summary

First Hospitality's boutique Oklahoma City hotel is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep lobby and public spaces pristine and welcoming for guests. You will clean restrooms, hallways, and public areas, ensuring a polished environment and responsive service.

This role offers starting pay at $15.00 per hour, with day‑one enrollment in insurance, PTO, holiday pay, travel discounts, and opportunities for development and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and bending or reaching as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas such as lobby restrooms, front desk, and offices.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Remove trash and manage housekeeping of assigned areas.
• Ensure timely upkeep and adherence to cleaning schedules.

The impact you'll make...

The Public Area Attendant will keep all public areas and facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and should alsoable to address guest requests and problems.

What you'll be doing...

• Clean rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Clean and maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweep and vacuum carpets.
• Remove trash and empty ashtrays and urns.
• Dust and polish metal work, furniture, fixtures, and elevators.
• Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
• Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment used (i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys, Scrubbing machine.)
• Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of their areas.
• Responsible for spring cleaning of their area as per the schedule given to them.
• Authorized to enter into offices for maintenance or other activities like pest control, shampooing of carpet etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
