Job Description

What do we expect from you?

Under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, assist in assuring smooth and efficient running of the Public Area in accordance to the hotel standards.

How your day looks like?

  • Ensure all public restrooms are clean, fresh smelling, and stocked at all times.
  • Maintain restroom cleanliness by checking each restroom a minimum of once every half hour during your work shift.
  • Collect and stock restroom towels from laundry, fold neatly, and put in restroom.
  • Return dirty towels and soiled linens to laundry for cleaning.
  • Dust, clean, and wipe walls, doors, and tabletops as necessary in the lobby area throughout the shift.
  • Empty and clean trash bins in public areas.
  • Familiarize yourself with all functions happening in the hotel.
  • Ensure all telephones in the public areas are clean and operable.
  • Maintain furniture and equipment in a serviceable condition and report any defects immediately.
  • Report maintenance defects to Housekeeping office immediately.
  • Deal with guest inquiries and requirements efficiently, handle complaints promptly with thorough follow-up.
  • Follow key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys.
  • Hand in all lost property and follow correct lost and found procedure.
  • Ensure all equipment and material used are in clean and working order; any defects should be reported immediately.
  • Assist fellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as necessary.
  • Carry out any projects and assignments as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
  • Attend any meetings or training sessions as required.
  • Undertake any reasonable request and/or special projects as requested by management.
