Job summary

Teneo is seeking a paid intern for its Washington, DC office for the spring semester. The intern will work closely with the DC-based Strategy & Communications team to support the development and execution of Government Affairs and Public Affairs strategies designed to help clients achieve their strategic goals.

Responsibilities include monitoring political developments, researching stakeholders, maintaining databases, tracking events, and providing administrative support.

Qualifications

• Senior or graduate student with relevant coursework in politics, economics, international affairs or communications.
• Experience monitoring and assessing U.S. political landscape and policy environment.
• Background in public affairs, corporate or campaign communications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze political developments and potential impacts for clients.
• Conduct issue and stakeholder research for client needs and business development.
• Support databases tracking political organizations, nominations, events, hearings and votes.
• Track virtual events such as White House briefings and congressional hearings.
• Provide general administrative and project management support.
