Job summary

Teneo is seeking a paid intern for its Washington, DC office for the spring semester. The intern will work closely with the DC-based members of Teneo's Strategy & Communications business to support the development and execution of Government Affairs and Public Affairs strategies designed to help clients achieve their strategic goals.

Senior or graduate students with relevant coursework in politics, economics, international affairs, or communications, who have hands-on understanding of the U.S.

Qualifications

• Senior or graduate student with work in politics, economics, international affairs, communications, history, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. political landscape with hands-on experience.
• Proven background in corporate public affairs through internships in public affairs, corporate or campaign communications.
• Excellent writing, research, and briefing memo skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor political and policy developments and assess impacts on clients.
• Research issues and stakeholders across sectors to support clients and business development.
• Maintain databases tracking political organizations, government nominations, hearings, votes, and key events.
• Track virtual events including White House briefings, congressional hearings, and industry panels.
• Provide general administrative and project management support.
