Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in public relations, media relations and/or communications.
• Experience working with and counseling senior management.
• Experience working on PR programs, influencer/social media programs, and issues in the U.S. and internationally.
• Strong experience in developing compelling content, including messaging and communications materials, and a consistent track record of excellent writing, communications and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the PR and communications strategy for Abbott’s Core Diagnostics business.
• Manage and execute integrated, insights-led campaigns including the We Give Blood competition.
• Work with top-tier reporters to enhance the company’s reputation and business objectives.
• Provide strategic counsel to marketing and leadership on business-related efforts and initiatives.
• Create multimedia, content, influencer, social and digital strategies to drive PR campaigns.
• Oversee development of press materials and communications tools.
• Identify and anticipate issues and counsel management on reputation and business impact.
