Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, political science, or a related field.
• Minimum four years in media relations or public relations, preferably in government or campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets.
• Prepare press releases and materials for events and announcements; draft talking points.
• Handle press inquiries and coordinate across city agencies.
• Review daily press coverage and assemble clips for leadership.
• Coordinate press conferences with the Mayor and senior officials.
• Support crisis communications and rapid response during emergencies.
