Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Mass Communications or related field.
• Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Proficient in AP Stylebook writing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs research, writing, and assists in compiling background information on public affairs issues.
• Monitors media articles as they affect Bechtel's business.
• Writes news releases and regional media alerts, develops articles for internal/external communications.
• Updates social media outlets (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) and creates information products using graphic design.
• Supports with data and document management or other non-technical tasks.
