South Dakota State Government seeks a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support the SDDOT Public Information Team. The role focuses on developing and coordinating communication strategies to elevate public awareness and engagement with the Department of Transportation.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in PR/marketing/journalism/mass communications, with strong writing, editing, and AP styling skills, plus expertise in digital media, design

Qualificações

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in public relations, marketing, journalism, or mass communications is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and AP styling skills; ability to create and edit content for multiple platforms.
• Experience with digital media, social media, and web content management; capable of producing traditional and digital content.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in writing press releases and project communications using AP styling.
• Review materials for AP styling and brand consistency across channels.
• Respond to inquiries via social media, email, and phone.
• Create multimedia content for internal and external platforms including social media.
• Produce graphics and designs using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Develop and manage digital content as part of an integrated online strategy.
• Coordinate social media scheduling, posts, livestreams, and ads.
• Update website and intranet content using Dreamweaver and CMS tools.
