The Department of Public Safety in Pierre, SD is seeking a Public Information Officer to lead digital media efforts, including social media, website development, and video messaging. This full-time role requires experience in social media, digital content, photography, and video production to enhance the department's communications.

The position reports to the communications director and requires flexibility to cover real-time events, weather incidents, and emergencies, using cameras and video

Competenze

• The ideal candidate will have relevant experience as a digital content manager, social media developer, photographer, and/or videographer.
• Proven ability to manage digital media projects and content calendars.
• Experience coordinating across social platforms and media formats.

Mansioni

• Direct the social media, digital, photography, and video content for the department and its programs.
• Capture photos and video for DPS media and social channels.
• Lead the social media strategy with the department's content managers.
• Assist with website management and development.
• Compile and edit the bi-monthly DPS newsletter.
• Monitor monthly social media statistics and inform strategy.
