Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Corporate Affairs Manager in Greensboro, NC to lead external communications and public affairs strategy in the United States. You will work with media, policy makers, and stakeholders to strengthen reputational positioning of The Fresh Market.

You will oversee crisis planning, community engagement, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and proactive engagement with authorities and industry groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in external communications, media relations, or corporate affairs in the US.
• Proven media management, writing, and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Knowledge of digital content management, social media, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Execute external communications and public affairs strategy in the United States.
• Lead media relations and engagement with strategic stakeholders.
• Define and execute a regional community engagement strategy with local leaders and NGOs.
• Develop high-quality content including press releases, speeches, and Q&A documents.
• Coordinate external agencies ensuring quality and consistency of messaging.
• Monitor media presence and produce reports on coverage and reputational impact.
• Support crisis and contingency management with local and regional teams.
• Coordinate with internal areas to ensure message consistency.
• Plan and execute engagement initiatives with authorities, associations, and communities.
• Monitor regulatory environment for risks and opportunities.
