Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking an External Affairs Manager to oversee government affairs and local engagement in California and the Western states. You will build relationships with government officials, tribal leaders, labor groups, and community partners to advance development projects and policy priorities.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, extensive CA political networks, and ability to travel frequently across the region.

Qualifications

Public policy or government affairs experience in California and Western states.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to engage with elected officials, policymakers, media, and residents.

Responsibilities

Be an ambassador for Clearway in diverse California communities and build relationships with local officials, tribal governments, labor unions, business groups, and stakeholders.
Support advocacy efforts with state legislature, Governor’s Office, and state agencies.
Cultivate partnerships to support development projects with site teams and developers.
Organize open houses, tours, and events to share information and build goodwill.
Maintain relationships with plant managers, technicians, and project developers, as well as landowners.
